Accessibility
We want every guest to get in, order, and sit comfortably, and every visitor to use this site. Here is what is true today and how to reach us if something is in your way.
In the cafe
- The entrance at 96 W Washington St is step-free.
- The dining room is on one level, with movable chairs at the tables.
- The menu is on this site as plain text with prices. Read it with a screen reader, or at any size, before you come. Our team will also read it to you at the counter.
- Service animals are welcome.
- Street parking is on Washington Street. City garages are a short walk. See Visit for details.
- Need something else, or want us to meet you at the door? Call (240) 382-2066 before you come.
On this website
We built this site to meet WCAG 2.2 level AA. That means, among other things:
- Every page works with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus outline and a skip link.
- Text and background colors meet the 4.5:1 contrast minimum.
- Photos have written descriptions. Menu prices are text, not images.
- Text can be enlarged to 200% without losing content, and the layout works on a phone.
- Buttons and links are at least 44 pixels tall on phones.
- Nothing moves on its own, and the site respects your "reduce motion" setting.
- We do not use an accessibility overlay widget.
