Yes. We are open Saturday from 7 AM to 4 PM. Street parking downtown is free on Saturdays.

No. We close on Sundays so our team can rest with their families.

Yes. Kids' crepes start at $4.50, and a kid's scoop in a cup is $2.49.

No. Seats are first come, first served. For a group, ask us about booking the room for a private event.

Yes. We make our fruit sauces here, from fresh fruit.

Yes. The Royal Mushroom Melt is vegetarian. Our sweet crepes have no meat.

Yes. Gluten-free items are marked on our menu, like the Royal Fudge Brownie and the Pecan Bars. If you avoid gluten, tell us when you order and ask about the crepes.

Yes. We open at 7 AM and make crepes all day, until 4 PM.

Our drip coffee is Ugandan. Our espresso bar uses Ugandan beans among other origins.

Not yet. We are working toward buying coffee directly from the farming communities Roots Africa works with. That is coming soon, and we will share it here the day it arrives.

Our ice cream comes from Taharka Brothers, a small-batch ice cream maker in Baltimore. We scoop it here.

Roots Africa is a nonprofit that trains young agribusiness graduates as changemakers. They work with smallholder farming families in Uganda, Liberia, and Cameroon to raise farm income.

The same family founded both. Cedric Nwafor founded Roots Africa and leads it as a volunteer. The cafe and the nonprofit are separate organizations.
